How to play Silver
About Silver
Silver is Deadlock's werewolf hero — the internal game files literally call the character hero_werewolf. Everything in the table below is cross-checked between the game's data files (via deadlock-api.com) and the community wiki; if the two sources didn't agree, it didn't make the page.

Names only, on purpose: the ability names are verified in both sources, but the exact numbers and interactions behind them aren't yet — so we don't guess at them here.
Is Silver strong right now?
In the ranked sample we track (average lobby rank Phantom I or higher, July 31 – August 11, 2026), Silver went 185–239 across 424 matches — a 43.6% win rate, clearly below the even line for that window. That is one bracket over one twelve-day window, not a tier verdict; but it does mean Silver was not stomping high-rank lobbies in the first weeks of the season.
Playstyle
Two kinds of signal here, kept separate on purpose: what the match data shows players doing, and what a credited creator argues you should do. The first is observation; the second is opinion.
What the data shows
High-rank Silver games follow a visible shopping rhythm: nearly every recorded match starts with Restorative Shot (bought at 1:27 on average) and adds Melee Lifesteal minutes later (3:17). The most common big purchase of the mid game is Hunter's Aura at around 12–13 minutes. The full ten-item timeline, with sample sizes and the caveats that come with them, lives on the builds page.
A credited creator's take
“The REAL way to play Silver” by TrippyTippy (August 5, 2026, 13 minutes) is the one Silver guide from the update window we found worth crediting. His central argument: itemize for surviving across both of Silver's forms and for weapon fit, rather than chasing damage — he keeps coming back to Close Quarters and Melee Lifesteal, then adapts the rest to the game. He also spends the longest stretch of the video (about four minutes) on the Lycan Curse transformation and when to use it.
This is his view, not verified fact — we credit it instead of repackaging it as our own, and game numbers on this page never come from video content.
